Did you lose your Eagle Bearer to the recal bug?


Well, don't worry, it is possible to get it back. But, be prepared for the usual frustrations when dealing with Ubisoft "Support".. (1).


Attached, please enjoy my most recent interactions with Ubisoft Support, attempting to be reimbursed/restored/compensated for the loss of my EB when I attempted to re-roll it to get DTOC on the bottom. Yes, my inventory was full, and our resident "Community Development" minion, Daria (@keksballs on twitter.(2)).


I'd like to refer you to my previous blog. Note please, that the initial ticket contains a video of the event happening. I'm quite good at remembering to hit the capture button when something odd happens, knowing that a simple explanation of the problem isn't good enough. At this point I'm not sure what's going on in the Ubisoft support department, are they massively overworked? I'm sympathetic, but, it's also not my problem. Are they absolutely clueless about the games they're supporting? Maybe, but again, not my problem. Hey Ubisoft execs, how about giving people who do support for a game time to play it so they understand how it works. Are they real? Is this actually AI I'm talking to, the poorly tailored cut and paste responses may seem to indicate so, but AI would probably do a better job. Do they read back through the thread before they respond? Well, this one I can forgive, sending an email with more than one question in it these days usually only nets a response to one, so maybe that's just the way of the world now.

(1) Henceforth, "Ubisoft Support" is an oxymoron, and the "Support" must be sarcastically quoted.
